Les P’tits Potos is a one-of-a-kind team in France. Les P’tits Potos translates to "The Little Buddies" and they are located just along the France / Luxembourg border.
We knew they were a special team even before meeting them over the summer of 2015. In any picture, whether running or posing, the members of Les P’tits Potos always look like they are having a great time! They are a team of around 200 members (growing over the span of 1 year) and in any race they work together and stay together as a pack.
They have a very unique chair called the “Joelette”. The rider of the Joelette sits in a comfy seat above the one wheel. The chair reminds me of a ‘litter’ that an Emperor or royalty would ride in as they were carried through their city. Either two or four teammates of Les P’tits Potos can handle and maneuver the Joelette. The Joelette is great for narrow trails through the forests. They take turns and their rider is certainly treated like royalty with all the laughter and positive energy.
The Potos not only share their charm on the road, they also participate in local charity events. They recently volunteered their time to serve as bartenders and wait staff for Telethon- an association of parents and patients who are fighting against severe, genetic and rare disabling diseases. The Potos helped them raise over 10,000 Euros in one evening!!
We are proud to know such an inspirational group of people. Now that they have The Blade, they are able to run in longer distance races, and travel to other countries. In March a few members plan to run in the Barcelona Marathon. They also would like to visit our dear friends, Team Kerr, in Northern Ireland. We hope to one day host them in the USA. Until then...
